This website is to commemorate our people who moved to the United States from Zschorlau - looking for opportunity... and for adventure.

In our modern times here in the USA, on average we move every seven years.  Many people drive 60 miles and 2 hours to get to work.  Brothers, sisters, and parents may be spread across thousands of miles, the entire width of the country.

Most of our Zschorlau families had lived in this little mountain region for hundreds of years.  Moving away was a big step that was made much easier by their staying close and connected - which included having the annual Orange County Park picnic.
